This pivotal role collaborates with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies to improve population health outcomes through data-driven strategies and policy advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health intervention programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises and natural disasters
- Develop educational materials and conduct community outreach on health topics like vaccination and chronic disease prevention
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers to enhance service accessibility and quality
- Prepare grant proposals and manage federal/state funding allocations for health initiatives
- Monitor compliance with public health regulations and recommend policy improvements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation or community health coordination
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Demonstrated experience developing health education materials for diverse audiences
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies and community stakeholders
- Valid Nevada driver's license and ability to travel throughout Clark County
