Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative impacts and regulatory changes affecting local government operations
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps
- Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions with community leaders and residents
- Monitor policy effectiveness through quantitative and qualitative assessment methods
- Prepare detailed reports for city council and mayoral office presentations
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects on urban development initiatives
- Advise on best practices in municipal governance and public administration
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public sector consulting
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement and public outreach
- Strong written communication skills with policy writing samples required
- Knowledge of Tennessee state and local government regulations
- Valid Tennessee driver's license and ability to travel to city facilities
