Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls during night shift hours using CAD systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and incident reports
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor radio frequencies and surveillance systems throughout shift
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency with accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure emergency situations
- Valid NC driver's license with clean record
- Pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Experience with CAD/RMS systems (training provided if needed)
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingualism highly valued)
- Ability to work rotating night shifts including weekends/holidays
