Responsibilities
- Project Design & Management: Lead the design, planning, and construction phases of municipal infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to city codes and safety standards.
- Technical Oversight: Conduct thorough site inspections, review engineering plans, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget Administration: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate effectively with contractors, city officials, community members, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and gather feedback.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.
- Emergency Response: Assist in the coordination and assessment of infrastructure needs during emergency situations or severe weather events.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering or public works projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar design tools.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of California and San Francisco specific building and environmental codes.
