Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including loaders, excavators, and dump trucks
- Assist in construction projects including road repairs and utility installations
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Respond to emergency service calls during inclement weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years' experience in construction or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish a plus
