Your Mission:
You will assist skilled tradespeople and engineers in various public projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, and trenching for utility installation.
- Operate heavy machinery such as dump trucks, rollers, and skid steers under supervision.
- Assist in asphalt paving, concrete pouring, and road maintenance activities.
- Set up and maintain traffic control signage and flagging operations.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and free of hazards in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Lift heavy materials and equipment safely throughout the workday.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members on project progress.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License (Class B CDL preferred but not required).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to perform heavy labor, including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly.
- Experience with construction equipment or general labor is a plus.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and site regulations.
