Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and manual labor for infrastructure projects
- Operate hand/power tools and light equipment safely
- Assist in road repairs, drainage systems, and park maintenance
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Support stormwater management and environmental initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city-wide projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Basic equipment operation skills (e.g., jackhammers, saws)
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
