Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and equipment operation
- Maintain parks, streets, and drainage systems
- Operate machinery safely (dump trucks, forklifts, etc.)
- Assist in emergency storm response and debris removal
- Complete digital paperwork remotely using city-provided tablets
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams via remote communication tools
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Basic computer skills for remote documentation
- Experience with heavy machinery operation preferred
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
