Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs on municipal roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Assist in park maintenance including landscaping, irrigation systems, and playground equipment
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs (snow removal, storm cleanup)
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and document maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B) preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in construction or public works
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Clean driving record and background check clearance
