Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks related to public infrastructure projects, including road maintenance, sidewalk repair, and drainage cleaning.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy construction equipment such as jackhammers, rollers, and dump trucks under supervision.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of public utilities, including water lines and sewer systems.
- Ensure all work sites comply with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Clear debris, snow, and ice from streets and public walkways during adverse weather conditions.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with foremen and team members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor, including lifting 50+ lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
- Must be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed.
