Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment, such as backhoes, bulldozers, and rollers, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, and excavating for infrastructure projects and utility installations.
- Assist in road maintenance activities, including pothole repair, striping, and asphalt paving support.
- Collect and dispose of refuse and recyclables in designated areas during scheduled routes.
- Assist with traffic control measures, including flagging, signage placement, and cone placement.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site by removing debris and strictly following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License required.
- Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction and road maintenance equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong adherence to safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
