Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor duties including snow removal, street sweeping, and trash collection during peak seasons.
- Maintain city parks, sidewalks, and right-of-ways to the highest aesthetic and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain light to medium heavy equipment, such as dump trucks, loaders, and mechanical sweepers.
- Assist in pothole repairs, concrete work, and general infrastructure maintenance projects.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner and respond to service requests promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and departmental policies while on the job site.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are cleaned and maintained in good working order.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to learn equipment operation quickly.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive crew.
