Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, and skid steers (training provided on-site).
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, grading, and debris removal.
- Maintain and repair roads, sidewalks, and drainage infrastructure to city standards.
- Ensure all job sites comply with OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Respond to emergency service calls during severe weather events and infrastructure failures.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies with precision and care.
- Collaborate with crew leads and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Basic understanding of construction safety protocols and equipment operation is preferred.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
