Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor duties including sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining public streets, alleys, and parks.
- Operate and maintain light construction and maintenance equipment, such as jackhammers, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of public utilities, traffic signs, and safety barriers.
- Read and interpret maps, blueprints, and work orders to understand project specifications.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and department protocols at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, foremen, and other crew members to complete projects efficiently.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.
- Valid Arizona Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
