Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, loaders) for construction/maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, paving, and equipment repairs
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols on all job sites
- Assist in stormwater management and road maintenance operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure assets
- Maintain accurate project documentation and equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year construction/maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and equipment operation
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
