Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road repair, drainage system maintenance, and park upkeep
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and power washers
- Assist in storm debris removal and emergency response operations
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow all OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Document work progress and submit daily activity reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with flexible availability
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Previous public works or construction experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
