Responsibilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, tampers) for infrastructure repairs
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and hauling construction materials
- Assist in storm drain maintenance and debris removal operations
- Conduct site inspections and report infrastructure hazards to supervisors
- Maintain safe work zones following OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic repairs
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform strenuous physical tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable)
- Experience with hand/power tools or construction equipment preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible shifts
