Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including cleaning, clearing, and maintaining public streets and rights-of-way.
- Operate light to medium construction and maintenance equipment (e.g., dump trucks, jackhammers) under supervision.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of city infrastructure, including drainage systems, sidewalks, and curbs.
- Collect and dispose of refuse, litter, and debris in designated areas to ensure a clean environment.
- Work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, and cold, performing outdoor tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to municipal guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Willingness to learn and participate in paid on-the-job training programs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
