While this role primarily involves on-site field operations, we support a hybrid work environment for reporting and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including paving, patching, snow removal, and grass cutting.
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist in traffic control operations, including flagging and setting up signage.
- Maintain public infrastructure such as sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and drainage systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and city protocols at all times.
- Inspect work areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other crew members to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid New Mexico Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices and equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
