Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including dump trucks, rollers, and loaders, according to safety guidelines.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, grading, and paving streets, sidewalks, and alleys.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure, including water mains and drainage systems.
- Clear snow and ice from streets, intersections, and public walkways during winter weather events.
- Set up and monitor traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and flagging operations.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment at various job sites.
- Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class A or B Commercial Driver's License preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical labor in all weather conditions.
- Ability to operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment.
