Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, and hauling materials and equipment at job sites.
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and construction of roads, sidewalks, curbs, and public facilities.
- Operate light to medium-duty construction equipment and hand tools under direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site, strictly adhering to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Assist in traffic control and flagging duties during active construction zones to ensure public safety.
- Perform general cleanup, landscaping, and snow removal duties as required by weather conditions.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and assist in storm drain clearing during inclement weather.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of construction terminology and road maintenance practices is a plus.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a diverse team.
- Physical stamina required to perform manual labor for extended periods.
