Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as dump trucks, rollers, and backhoes safely and efficiently.
- Clear roadways, sidewalks, and public rights-of-way of debris, snow, ice, and fallen trees.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of public infrastructure including parks, drainage systems, and utility lines.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment using hand trucks and forklifts.
- Ensure all work zones comply with OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety plans.
- Perform general labor tasks including digging, grading, and painting as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License required with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, heavy machinery, or previous labor experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team environment.
