Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, hauling, and lifting heavy materials to support construction and maintenance projects.
- Maintain and repair city roads, sidewalks, and public spaces to ensure safe and accessible infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain light to medium heavy equipment such as rollers, loaders, and asphalt pavers under supervision.
- Clear debris, snow, and ice from public walkways and roadways during adverse weather conditions.
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with landscaping, trash collection, and general park maintenance duties.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate daily tasks and project goals.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C) required with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, safety procedures, and traffic control signs is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications (e.g., Flagger, OSHA 10) during employment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
