Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including excavation, grading, and site preparation.
- Maintain and repair city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices and signage.
- Operate light to medium construction equipment (e.g., rollers, dump trucks) under supervision.
- Ensure all work sites are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations strictly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in public works or construction is a plus but not required.
