Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, repair, and maintenance of city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate hand tools and light equipment under supervision
- Perform groundskeeping duties like landscaping and debris removal
- Support emergency response crews during weather-related incidents
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Complete daily work logs and report equipment issues
Qualifications
- No experience required - training provided!
- Valid Texas Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for measurements and material estimates
- Reliable transportation to work sites across the city
