Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators and dump trucks (with proper certification)
- Assist in emergency storm response and infrastructure repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of public works facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban development projects
- Maintain accurate field documentation and safety compliance records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Indiana Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating construction equipment (backhoes, loaders)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including emergency response
