Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, curbs, and public facilities.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment, including jackhammers, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Assist in snow removal, flood control, and erosion control projects during inclement weather.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and debris using hand trucks and forklifts.
- Perform cleaning duties, including litter removal, graffiti abatement, and park maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while on-site.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License required; a Class A or B license is a significant plus.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and a drug screen.
- Physically capable of performing heavy labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and working in extreme weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
