Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as rollers, jackhammers, and sweepers under supervision.
- Perform road maintenance tasks including patching potholes, crack sealing, and line striping.
- Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Conduct street sweeping and sanitation duties to keep neighborhoods clean and compliant.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and site conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials.
- Willingness to work shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
