Responsibilities

  • Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, trenching, grading, and backfilling for construction and maintenance projects.
  • Operate heavy and light equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, skid steers, and pavement breakers, under the supervision of certified operators.
  • Assist in traffic control, including flagging, setting up cones/barrels, and maintaining a safe work zone.
  • Install, repair, and maintain storm sewers, water lines, and other utility infrastructure.
  • Perform general cleaning and upkeep of public parks, streets, and rights-of-way, including snow and ice removal during winter months.
  • Load and unload construction materials, tools, and supplies at various job sites.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License (Class B CDL is a strong plus but not always required for entry-level).
  • Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new equipment and techniques.
  • Excellent attendance record and ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and overtime.
