Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform general labor tasks including street sweeping, pothole repair, and maintaining public right-of-ways.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery and equipment such as rollers, backhoes, and dump trucks under supervision.
- Traffic Control: Set up and maintain traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and flagging operations, to ensure worker and public safety.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and debris to and from job sites.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests and storm damage cleanup as needed.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Arizona Driver’s License is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is preferred but not mandatory; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Safety: Must possess a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
