Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining public streets and sidewalks.
- Operate and maintain light to medium heavy equipment such as brooms, pavement breakers, rollers, and salt spreaders.
- Assist in road repair, pothole filling, and general street maintenance projects.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and debris safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic control procedures while working in active traffic zones.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow crew members.
- Respond to emergency weather-related services, including snow and ice removal.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push heavy objects weighing up to 50+ pounds.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License (Class C) with a clean driving record is a plus but not always required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is an advantage.
- Must pass a physical examination and drug screening.
