Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including paving, patching, sweeping streets, and clearing snow and ice.
- Operate heavy and light machinery, such as dump trucks, rollers, sweepers, and jackhammers.
- Collect and transport construction debris, refuse, or recyclables to designated disposal sites.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signs, guardrails, and street furniture.
- Ensure all work sites adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members to coordinate daily tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure to identify potential hazards or needed repairs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform strenuous labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends, as well as in adverse weather conditions.
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal public works is a plus.
