Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including excavation, loading, and unloading of construction materials.
- Operate light equipment such as rollers, tampers, and pavers under direct supervision.
- Set up and maintain traffic control zones, including signage and flagging.
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of streets, alleys, and public facilities.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe worksite.
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to operate basic construction machinery (e.g., skid steers, loaders) is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills for measuring and material estimation.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and in inclement weather as needed.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification is a plus.
