Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including street sweepers, dump trucks, and trenchers
- Perform preventative maintenance on city infrastructure including roads, drainage systems, and parks
- Respond to emergency service calls during severe weather events
- Document work activities using digital field reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city maintenance protocols
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Certification in equipment operation preferred (e.g., CDL, flagging)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
