Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on municipal buildings, parks, and transportation facilities
- Operate heavy equipment (trucks, loaders, graders) with proper safety protocols
- Respond to emergency repairs during weather events or public safety incidents
- Conduct routine inspections of infrastructure and document findings
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B)
- 3+ years experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
