Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on traffic signals, street signs, and public infrastructure.
- Operate heavy municipal equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, and loaders, safely and efficiently.
- Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance requests, including pothole repairs and drainage issues.
- Conduct inspections of city streets and public facilities to identify safety hazards and wear and tear.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during severe winter weather conditions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Document work orders and report material needs to supervisors accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public works, construction, or facility maintenance.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
