Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on municipal infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and construction equipment, such as excavators, loaders, and dump trucks.
- Inspect work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and city standards.
- Respond to emergency service calls and weather-related maintenance requests promptly.
- Clean and organize work areas, equipment, and tools to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other municipal crews and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or related fields.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
