Responsibilities
- Manage municipal infrastructure projects (roads, water systems, public buildings) from planning to completion
- Oversee budgets, contracts, and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Prepare progress reports and documentation for city council review
- Ensure projects meet ADA compliance and environmental standards
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for project delays or budget overruns
- Leverage GIS technology for infrastructure mapping and analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of infrastructure project management experience
- Valid Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Proven knowledge of federal/state grant programs (e.g., Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act)
- Strong proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, and GIS software
- Experience in public procurement processes and contract management
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage diverse communities
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
