Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, roads, and parks
- Operate and maintain light/heavy equipment including mowers, sweepers, and snow removal machinery
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and city ordinances during all operations
- Respond to citizen inquiries and service requests with professionalism
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Missouri Class B driver's license (CDL preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and hand tools safely
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Pass background check and drug screening
