Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., dump trucks, street sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in park maintenance including landscaping and equipment upkeep
- Respond to public service requests and emergency repairs
- Conduct regular inspections of municipal infrastructure
- Maintain accurate work records and safety documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Experience with construction/maintenance equipment operation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
