Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
- Conduct inspections of public facilities to ensure safety compliance
- Document work progress and submit detailed maintenance reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
