Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit implementations
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Translate theoretical advances into practical quantum computing solutions
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Track record of publications in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Experience with quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
