Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate theoretical models into functional quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in leading quantum computing journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding through grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or hardware optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and experimental setups
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational theory
- Ability to secure research funding and manage complex experimental projects
