Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and council minutes with precision
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Administer oaths and public records requests in compliance with state law
- Coordinate city council meetings and public hearings
- Maintain legislative history and document archives
- Serve as clerk for city boards and commissions
- Ensure compliance with Brown Act and public record regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal clerk experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of California election law and Brown Act
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems
- Exceptional written communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
