Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and accessibility of municipal records, ordinances, and minutes
- Administer oaths of office and manage official city seals
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure timely compliance
- Prepare agendas for City Council meetings and document proceedings
- Manage voter registration coordination with County Clerk's office
- Supplement record-keeping systems for digital and physical archives
- Train staff on records management best practices and legal compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government or records management experience
- Texas Notary Public certification required
- Expert knowledge of Texas Open Records/Open Meetings Act
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written communication and public interaction skills
