Responsibilities
- Oversee all city council records, minutes, and official documentation with precision
- Manage municipal elections including voter registration and polling coordination
- Administer public records requests while ensuring compliance with Nebraska statutes
- Process and maintain official city ordinances, resolutions, and legislative actions
- Serve as primary liaison between city departments and the public for administrative inquiries
- Implement records retention policies and digitization initiatives
- Coordinate with county officials for seamless intergovernmental operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal government or records management
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation or equivalent
- Expert knowledge of Nebraska election laws and open records statutes
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
