Responsibilities
- Maintain and certify official municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Coordinate and document City Council meetings, hearings, and public hearings
- Manage voter registration records and election documentation
- Oversee public records requests and FOIA compliance
- Administer oaths and notarize official documents
- Collaborate with legal department on legislative tracking
- Supplement records management staff and training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal/government records management experience
- Louisiana Notary Public certification required
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Deep knowledge of Robert's Rules of Order and parliamentary procedure
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills
- Experience managing FOIA requests and public record compliance
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
