Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official municipal records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee public notice compliance and coordinate all City Council and Board of Ethics meetings
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes in accordance with state law
- Serve as custodian of public records and respond to information requests under Colorado Open Records Act
- Develop and implement records management policies and retention schedules
- Train staff on municipal procedures and record-keeping standards
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city officials and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal government or public records management
- Deep knowledge of Colorado municipal codes and open records laws
- Proficiency with records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing deadlines
- Colorado Notary Public certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Experience with election administration processes
