Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and ensure strict compliance with city ordinances, state regulations, and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, accurate cost estimates, and comprehensive project schedules for senior management and public review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including urban planners, surveyors, and contractors, to optimize project outcomes and resolve technical challenges.
- Manage project budgets and allocate resources efficiently to meet strict deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding infrastructure development and provide clear, professional project updates.
- Utilize advanced engineering software to analyze data and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Georgia is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in municipal engineering or civil construction management.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data and blueprints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
