Responsibilities
- Lead the design and review of complex transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure compliance with state and federal safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and local government agencies.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and engineering specifications for stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on engineering principles and software applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, preferably within government or public works.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bentley OpenRoads.
- Strong knowledge of California Transportation Commission (CTC) standards and local Los Angeles County codes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data clearly.
